The news. Why is it so focused on the negative? Yeah, that's what we're going to talk about today on stop the mind screw and Transurfing on Tuesday.

You're listening to the stop, the mind screw podcast. I'm your host, Kathie Owen Certified Fitness Trainer and Life Coach since 2002. Transforming lives and magic fashion teaching Stop the Mind Screw Process today is Tuesday. And we're back on track with transurfing on Tuesday. And today we're going to talk about bad news, negative news, and why it is so prevalent everywhere you go from the book talking about disaster.

He says the task is to stay as far away as possible from the pendulum's vortex. This means not absorbing negative information relating to ketchup, catastrophic events and disasters showing no interest refraining from worry or discussion, and generally letting the information pass you by. Notice that we say, let the information pass you by rather than try to avoid it.

As we know from previous chapters, trying to avoid a meeting with a pendulum is the same thing as seeking out a meeting with it. When you resist something desire specifically to avoid something or express your enmity towards something you actively radiate. At the frequency of the object, you're trying to avoid to let something pass you by means not to absorb or react to negative information, simply ignore it and switch your attention to harmless television programs and books.

If you find it impossible to retain a positive outlook, when confronted with negativity, negativity, you can always turn to your guardian now. What? Okay. So I want to refer to a couple of stories here when this comes around, because the popularity of negative news is something Vadim calls that pendulum vortex.

Yeah. I live near Houston, Texas, and hurricane Harvey hit our area in 2017 and I'd seen flooding in Houston, but never have I seen flooding like this. The news was on 24 hours a day. All day long, all night long, every single day for at least three to four days, they had continuous coverage of the, of the event.

And, oh my gosh, it was so easy to get sucked into that pendulum vortex, because it's like driving by a car accident. You want to look over there. It's a natural tendency to look and see what happens. Eventually after watching that news, I got torn because I saw this little boy and his family being rescued from a home and a boat.

That usually you drive up to this house too. And the little boy's face was so caught up in the devastation and the fear. And I just had enough cause that wasn't just the only rescue that I witnessed on this news. They were, they were going out and seeking this because people were paying attention to it.

As I said, I live in Houston. Where Joel Osteen's church is. So I I've also grown up. Watching Joel grow up. Cause he's about the same age I am. And as well as I've watched him in sermons. And I remember one time he was talking about a hurricane that we had here and he was talking to a news reporter and he asked the reporter, they were trying to interview him to tell him.

To get him to talk about the devastation he saw. And he's like, why can't we pull a report on the good news, why can't report on the good things that are going on? And the reporter just looked at him, blankly thinking, well, nobody's going to want to watch that that's not going to catch eyes. Like the devastation is all that is, is the pendulum.

Vortex is just a word that went with it to describe what. Vadim is talking about here. I got caught up in that vortex of the pendulum. I also read in the book, um, Choose Your Story Change Your Life by Kindra Hall how she lives in New York city. And she was being interviewed for a news report as well.

And. It was during the pandemic in New York. And she was like, why can't we talk about the good things that have happened again, the news reporter couldn't come up with a good answer for that as well, because it's just not something people want to talk about. Have you noticed the intensity and force of the emotions, like fear and rage?

They by far outweigh those of joy and happiness, and it has to do with our caveman ancestors and our instincts, fear and rage were crucial to survival. Joy is technically not useful when it comes to defending yourself against danger and forging for food. History is full of stories of burden and hardship that have brought more grief and fear than joy and happiness.

That caveman instinct is why we are vulnerable to yield, to thoughts of gloom and depression, while feelings of joy and happiness pass relatively quickly. Yeah, it's funny from the book reality trans serving, he says he comes out and he says, have you ever heard of a normal person suffering from too much joy?

You know, and it's funny, but it's sad. And it's true. People who suffer from stress and depression can be found in good numbers on the other hand.

All right. This episode is brought to you by. Reality trans surfing and stop them mindset. On the download that I have on here, I talk about how to deal with pendulums. He specifically says in the book, you cannot just ignore them. You, you have to observe them. You have to watch them. You have to become aware.

And my little free download will help you become aware of what pendulums you do. Give your energy to that are constructive, and which ones are destructive. Feel free to download this. At www.kathieowen.com/reality-transurfing. And that's K a T H E O w E n.com. Hope to see you there.

You know, I have a friend who always tells me, did you see this?

That happened in the news? And I tell her, no, I don't watch the news. And she proceeds to tell me every little gory detail that happened for what reasons. I don't, what can I do about that information? I can't do anything with it. Another example I have is I follow Lee or Alexandra, and I'll put her post up in the blog post and in the links below in the description, because she talked about how joy can be felt, even in a concentration camp.

And how the world has our society has become so pharmaceutical that they don't realize that your mind can heal you. And I was reading through the comments because that kind of stuff just intrigues me. And there's so much victim mentality. The people that came at Lee or about this were not like.

Criticizing her. They said, Hey, this is great, but we do need medication for depression, for our mental health. And I get that and I totally agree, but I think society is becoming more and more dependent on that for a long-term answer. And it is not a long-term answer. It's a short-term answer. And. Overcome the problem.

Take your power back. Realize your mind can heal you, but if you want to lay in victim mentality, go right ahead. The choice is yours. You can go back and listen to the pendulum's where positive or negative, it's your choice. And that's where it is. So how does one combat the destructive pendulum? Well, we learned that you can simply ignore.

But so often it is not that easy. We can also listen to our guardian angel or as video says, listened to the rustle of the morning star. What, how in the heck do we do that? Well, next week we will talk about the wrestle of the morning stars and also how to have heart and mind coordination. All right.

That's my episode for today. If you enjoyed it. Be sure to share it with somebody who can benefit from this information. And until next time, I'll see you next time, peace out and Namaste.
